STEMulates

STEMulating Saturdays

STEMulating Saturdays is a monthly program designed to increase student participation in STEM activities through hands-on challenge based learning experiences. Students are split based on their current grade. Using the PEP (Present, Engage, Prepare) model, the focus is to position our students to perform at least one grade level above current educational standards.

Roadmap to STEM Institute (RSI)

The Roadmap to STEM Institute (RSI) is designed to give students in Grades 7-12, next generation STEM skills to prepare them to become STEM Ready and be able to enter into and succeed in STEM majors that can help them matriculate into the STEM workforce.

S3 (Safe Spaces for Students)

Our S3 program is designed to create informal STEM learning in safe, community spaces. We collaborate with community partners to create STEMulation Zones in which students can learn skills and receive support in a safe and nurturing environment. This allows them to learn freely and effectively contribute to the growth of their communities.

Scholars Plus

Scholars Plus is our initiative to increase the excitement and recognition of students who excel academically. Each semester we give special recognition to students who make the honor roll at their respective school. Similar to athletics, our research shows that the more we encourage and celebrate academic achievement, the more students and their families will strive to make academic excellence a priority.

Young STEMinistas

The Young STEMinistas program is a cohort-model program that supports young ladies as they matriculate through their secondary schools and into Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) careers. The program is focused on providing STEM learning experiences for young ladies through programming and mentorship.  Students can register for the programming beginning in grade 6 and remain engaged until graduation.

Research Experiences for Students

The Research Experiences for Undergraduates (RESS) program supports active research participation by secondary students. Modeled after the successful Research Experience for Undergraduate (REU) program, 11th and 12th grade students are engaged in corporate or faculty-led projects designed for the RESS program.

STEMulAting Summer Camps

Each summer we collaborate with community partners to create a series of one-week camps designed to help students to sharpen their skills and prepare for careers in STEM. Partners can partner to create a unique experience. Whether it is one-day, a week, one week or multiple weeks we can create a STEMulAting experience for your students.
